About

Demond Smith, a multi-talented musician who hails from the Atlanta, GA metropolitan area is currently working on his debut project and is anxious to get his music to the masses. His ability to play multiple instruments, write, and produce his own music make his melting pot jazz sound distinctive and authentic. His music can be described as soulful, emotional, conscious, and free. He blends every aspect of music and the jazz art form to create an original fusion of sound that needs to be heard.

Demond began playing the saxophone in elementary school and had many musical influences growing up. His grandmother was a pianist and his cousin, Sylvester Keels travelled with James Brown and the Famous Flames Band in the 50's. He credits his elementary and high school band director, David Fry as the one who helped hone his skills. His Uncles Harold and Horace Smith were local 70's and 80's R&B singers who also played a huge part in his life.
